Isopach

Isopach
Tioga Bentonite

Isopach graphs are in the same group of contour and typography maps. These maps unlike the others used for meteorology display information related to geology. This particular Isopach map shows the thickness of the Tioga Bentonite. Originally deposited as volcanic ash this map shows the thickness of those deposits. The lines of equal thickness are used to show variation. This is a good example of how the information is put onto a map.
