Isotachs

Isotachs
Wind Speed

Isotach lines, used in meteorology are contour lines shown on a weather map or chart that connect where wind speeds have been recorded to be equal. How close these lines are together determine the degree of wind shear. Isotach lines that are closer together are more intense, these lines don’t show wind direction but in general they are parallel to the jet stream.
